Ofcourse I will! More of my family and friends will be able to attend that one because they live in Chicago. I really need to join a support group...hopefully i will soon. How are you feeling? By the looks of your status, i hope things are better. I had to go back on prednisone after being off of it for abt 3months. Man it felt good to not take it and suprisingly I was able to manage with just taking Vitamin D. Unfortuantely I had a allergic reaction to the UTI antibiotic i took and that caused so many problems so i am back on prednisione. I've learned that you can never get too comfortable in any situation/circumstance because things can easily change at the drop of a dime. Sorry if I'm rambling, Wed def have to meet at the Downtown walk.
Thanks lady :) It sounds like your gonna be doing the northern suburbs? walk? I always have my team do the downtown Chicago walk for the scenery :) We've been lucky to have nice weather each year too, not to hot, not too cold. So if your up to doing that one in the fall too, I'd LOVE to meet up with you!!!
Your neice is beautiful..hope to meet you at the Walk for Lupus this time around...for some reason I always tend to get sick around that time...but hopefully not this year =)
Congrats with raising all that money! Sorry that I was unable to attend the walk....a lot of things came up that week and I ended up not feeling good as well. I am doing good and the modeling expo went well and it was success...i got several call backs but unfortunately right now i am so busy with school so it's is impossible to do both. I am doing some local things right now...so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully by this summer I will have more time to do more. I hope you are feeling better....
Hey there, mimi and i missed you at the walk! Unfortunately, the walk in Naperville got cancelled because of all the rain and flooding. I raised about $5500 and you can still turn in donations thru the 30th if you have any :) The last couple weeks I've been terribly sick with a cold/cough, but that's finally subsided. How are you feeling? How's the modeling going? Did you get any jobs?
Hey...how are you doing? how did the walk go?n there..but you know how our condition works...one day your feeling great and the next day you feel totally opposite...well there's always next year :) did your house flood at all?
you're such a sweet & loving person( which reminds me of myself) I hope you feel better..it's kind of funny..because my whole left arm was hurting so much last week & i could barely move it..my mom kept saying it's the weather or maybe you slept on it wrong, but it eventually got better, i think because i didn't take my meds for a couple of days..bad idea huh?....i just try sometimes to go without taking my meds & it never seems to work..i'm either in pain or i have withdrawal...i am looking forward to seeing you at the walk..are you going to be able to volunteer at all? I am...they really need volunteers so if you know of anybody who can help... they can go here : www.lupusil.org
It's funny you say that because that is the problem i was having as well. I haven't attended any support groups yet, but my sister went to one and she told me there were a lot of elderly people there. I have no problem with that & i think it's very helpful because most of them have had Lupus for a while & they can let me know some things, but it would be nice to know someone around my age..that i can relate some things with. & another factor is that all the groups are very far...so my sis & I are trying to get one started @ my college & they're offering to give us a room for free & help branch it out..so I'm really excited for that. Our team name is Lupus is a Phase in Gladys & Natalie ..It's our first year being involved so we're new to it all, but i'm excited to meet people. I'll def look for you as well. What is Orencia?
Cool, I'll have to look for you, what's your team name? As far as my medications go, yes, I get bad side effects especially from being on prednisone for 8 years straight! Unforunately, without prednisone and the others, I would be bedridden each day. So in order to have SOME sort of quality of life, I listen to my rheumy and take what she tells me :) I used to go to a support group at South Suburban hospital, but there was no one my age and after going a few times I just didn't feel comfortable. They were all much much older than I. Do you go to a group?
YES I AM ACTUALLY...MY SIS & I HAVE A TEAM...WOW I WAS READING YOUR PROFILE...YOUR ON A LOT OF MEDICATIONS...DON'T YOU GET BAD SIDE EFFECTS? OR ALLERGIC REACTIONS? DO YOU ATTEND ANY SUPPORT GROUPS IN IL? OH & I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER :)
