The primary function of Lupus International is to eradicate lupus by supporting lupus research, alleviate suffering for lupus patients through patient services and effect early detection of undiagnosed cases through awareness promotion.

La función primaria de Lupus Internacional deberá erradicar lupus sosteniendo investigación de lupus, aliviar el sufrimiento para pacientes de lupus por servicios pacientes y realizar el descubrimiento temprano de casos no diagnosticados por la promoción del conocimiento.

Lupus International was incorporated in 1983.  It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  The purpose of the foundation is to support research that will lead to prevention, treatment and a cure for lupus; to provide supportive services to lupus patients and their families; and to promote early diagnosis of lupus through awareness programs.
