Summer heat...

I live in Northeastern PA and around this time or sooner If it's hot enough I feel sick and sluggish; plus I sweat even when I'm not doing anything. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

Hi Janine...You mention that you sweat even if you aren't doing anything and that is SOOOO me. I honestly thought that maybe menopause is finally hitting me with a vengance. I recently was in Denver for a funeral and saw a lot of extended family and felt and looked like a sweaty pig (GAG!) I apologized to people and actually excused myself a few times to go & try to refresh myself.

Maybe its all tied to my lupus. I did have to go to my PCP as soon as I came back due to extreme swelling on my calves, ankles, and feet, esp. toes. Since he had to due labwork, I asked him to check my hormone levels so i guess I should know for sure this week.

    Warm regards, Deanne

Yes I too have more pain and sweating when it is hot. Here in Georgia it is not only HOT but also humid. Have never really cared for the heat, but it is worst now than ever.I agree HOT weather and lupus do not mix. If all my family were not here I would consider moving.

It's very hot here in North Carolina also. Everybody sweats here. But I've been sweating a lot while I'm sleeping. I wake up wet.

During the summer, I have noticed that on the hot days, especially when there is High pressure in cotrol, my pain is 10 tines worse than a regular hot day, and if humidity is added to the mix, forget it, I am in bed all day, in front of the AC.
