Keeping a journal
I used to keep a faithful medical journal each day. Which I really need to start again, because it was a good aid in my fight for disability approval. Anyway, I jot down in my organizer how I feel each day, not alot of journaling per say, but just to keep track of things for when I go see my doc. Otherwise my BRAIN FOG takes over! lol

hmm, this is a really good idea. When I'm really good, I keep a log for about 7 days of symptoms. I need to get back to doing that.

I don't keep a daily log but I've heard of people doing that because it is a very useful tool. And it's down to the nitty gritty - even what your temperature is twice a day. Some people learned to detect when they are flaring just based on slight changes in their temperature. I find it very interesting.

I've been told I 'should' keep a journal, but I don't. I've found that generally as long as I'm not completely down and out, I try not to concentrate on the negative. Just get along the best I can every day. I would like to be more disciplined sometimes and see what foods/activites may contribute to my health.

I used to when I was in the hospital...It was a lot easier to write in it everyday..simply because there was nothing else to do & I was always in bed...but now it's a lot harder to keep up with it...considering that i'm so busy..but that'snot an excuse..i'll get back to writng soon..because i love to write poetry & music..so writing is fun for me :)

I try hard to write every day - even if it's only a few sentences. Lately the WeAreLupus journal has been coming in really handy for me!

I have kept one for several years. It has really helped me to identify food and environmental triggers. The funny thing is every time I go to a doc's appointment I forget it. Duh!4 months ago
