Hi Maria thanks for getting back to me, although I was a bit confused by your note on my profile. I guess I am having a bit of a Lupus fog. I hope all is well with you and I hope that you have a great weekend!!
It appears that I didn't get back to you, but then I don't remember seeing it either~ so sorry!
So how is your new puppy doing? We adopt from shelters, too, and tend to find pets who seem very happy to be loved. Granted, when we adopted our cat, no one bothered to tell us she was pregnant and when we adopted our dog, no one bothered to tell us he was going blind. All the more reason they needed homes, I suppose.
I hope things are going well - the book discussion has been more going through the books, but this month we are having the author join us so that the discussion can be about anything and much more personal. Wven if you haven't read the book yet, it is open to discussion. The book, though, is a nice casual book that speaks more to the thinking about illness rather than the medical information, specific management steps or emotional storytelling that other books offer. They are all good to have available whenever those type of needs are what we're looking for and this is just another type of resource to have on hand.
Drop by and hope to hear from you! I'll check here more often so I don't miss you again~
Hi Maria I am glad that you have something to look forward to. What type of book club is it? Well my friend tomorrow is the day that I pick out a dog to adopt in our local animal shelter, it always breaks my heart to see so many dogs needing to be adopted and cats also. I want to let them all free! Oh well I know that I can at least rescue one dog that is in a cage that deserves a loving home which he or she will get from me. Wish me luck!!
Thanks and I hope to hear from you as soon as you are able
Hi Maria, I hope that you are doing well. Please cross your fingers for me, because next week I see another Rhumie, which will be my sixth. This this time however I am going to go to the consulations with prepared questions.
Hi Maria I wish for you the same as I found out on Friday, my liver labs became normal again, what a relief. I really hope that you are having some better days and will have even more greater days, that is my wish for you!
I know how frustrating the waiting period can be - I didn't know about how much damage occured until about three years after my diagnosis. I think that what served me best is to not focus too much on dealing with lupus like a chess game...moves are pre-determined and falling into traps because I was distracted with winning certain pieces. I look at my body as a whole picture regardless of the organ acting up - it's all connected anyway.
Having some hope is a great move on your part :) Giving myself an assuring gesture each day gets me through. Sending you a smile to help get you through things a little easier, too~
Hi Maria, you do give me hope, because presently for me it is a wait and see concerning my kidneys. I have have lab tests results that my kidneys are being affected, but to what extent is a wait and see, which is bad for me, since when they were handing out patience I was absent lol. Also my liver is back being affectes ao I am waiting to find out the second results of this test also.
