The devil in disguise
People see the wonderful sun as a good day for most, brings life to flowers, and smiles to kids but to me a Lupus struggler it brings inflammation, pain, fatigue and simply just a bad few days! So I consider it the devil in disguise. I love the summer but since our wonderful sun rays are getting stronger by the year I am unable to enjoy my summer days. Today, case in point: I had a PROMO job for an energy drink and it was literally 100 degrees just swoltering hot. I literally felt myself breaking down by the minute. My hands starting swelling, turning reddish, my body and muscles became sore and I felt as if I was hit by a mac truck. The sad part about it is that it was 5pm, a time when the sun rays are supposed to be less radiant. So, I am getting scared for our future and when I say "OUR" I mean us Lupie Patients. Pretty soon we will either have to be confined to our homes to keep out of the sun to avoid the wonderful FLARE or invent a protectant bubble for us to allow to enjoy the outdoors during the day.
So now my feelings towards our wonderful sun has changed. I don't know who I hate the most the sun or this super disease I have called LUPUS.
