How the heck am I supposed to clean my house???

Oh my goodness, please help me!  So, I'm not a neat freak when I'm on my A game.  As a kid I was always getting yelled at to clean my room.  Now I'm an adult with Lupus, a cat, and a dog in a 600 sq ft. apartment.  It is all I can do to get myself up and get to work in the morning.  By the time I get home and make dinner for myself (and my husband if he's home.) and get the dishes done, I have no time for things like laundry, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing floors, etc.  The mess just adds to my stress level but there's nothing I can do!  What do you do to deal with everyday mess when you just don't have the energy to clean???

I can relate, I used to be a clean freak before lupus but i am force to slow down. I work evening. I usually clean kitchen and bathroom and laundry on days off. The rest of household work,  i perform in the mornings on different days. I cant do everything at once anymore. It's more important for me rest before work.

I am so glad you asked this question. Though I am unlike you and Asia I am no longer able to work, so congrats to both of   you that can still work. I too when I was much younger and was raising my 3 sons I was a neat freak as well. I have learned as Asia said cant do all the housework at once anymore. Spread the chores out on different days and take time to rest.

I say be happy that you only have one cat and one dog. I live in a "cabin" (basically a trailer that is so bad that it can't be rented to anyone) with 5 cats, 2 dogs, and my boyfriend (who barely cleans and never cooks). The place is never clean, the dishes are rarely done, and one of us has to bring the laundry up to the main house (which is 4 cabins away) to do it. As long as one thing can get done during the day, I consider it an accomplishment.
